Biogeographical Distribution 


Chitons from the family, Acanthochitonidae are found worldwide from tropical to polar waters (Gowlett-Holmes 2001). Acanthochitona species have a worldwide distribution, found in the tropics, subtropics and temperate zones (Figure 1). Chitons from this genus appear to be commonly found on the East coast of Australia, on the West coast of Europe and on the Southeast coat of North America.
